The Registered Nurse (Inpatient Behavioral Health) is responsible for providing patient-centered care, coordinating care to achieve desired outcomes, and practicing in accordance with the Michigan Public Health Code Act 368 of 1978, Article 15 (Health Occupations), Part 172 (Nursing).
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited Registered Nursing Program
- Current Michigan RN License
- Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider
- ACLS Certification or completed within one year of hire (for ICU/TU, Cardiac Cath Lab, Emergency, PACU, Surgery Center, Endoscopy, Spine/Orthopedics, Float Pool)
- PALS certification or completed within one year of hire (for Emergency, 5 West, PACU, Surgery Center)
- NRP Certification or completed within one year of hire (for Birth Center)
- Certification in specialty area (CCRN, CRN, CNOR, CEN, etc) preferred
- Recent hospital experience and/or previous nursing practice experience preferred
- 2 years prior RN experience in desired specialty area preferred
- Prior experience with electronic patient documentation system preferred
- Prior experience with technology common to specialty area (i.e., cardiac monitors, IV pumps) preferred
- Bilingual preferred
