Activity Therapist Psychiatric (Fulltime)

Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is recruiting a Fulltime Activity Therapist Psychiatric to provide therapeutic recreational and activity services to adult, adolescent, or child patients under HBHH care for emotional or substance abuse problems.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g., recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, occupational therapy)
• Certification or registration preferred
• Excellent communication, assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills
• Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment; flexibility; teaching or training skills helpful; understanding of, or ability to understand, DSM 5 -TR methodology
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a healthcare field
• Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
