Recreational Therapist (PRN)

Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is seeking Per Diem Activity Therapists to provide therapeutic recreational and activity services to adult and adolescent patients under their care. The role involves planning activities, leading individual and group sessions, and conducting assessments to meet patient needs. The facility adheres to COVID-19 safety protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field
• CTRS or TRS/TXC license preferred
• Excellent communication, assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills
• Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment
• Flexibility
• Teaching or training skills
• Understanding of, or ability to understand, DSM VI methodology
