CNC Operator I

Operates a single or multiple spindle numerical controlled drilling machine to perform various operations such as drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, grooving, slotting etc. Follows predetermined procedures and checks own work for conformance to specifications.

Requirements

• Operates a single or multiple spindle numerical controlled drilling machine
• Performs various operations such as drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, grooving, slotting etc.
• Follows predetermined procedures and checks own work for conformance to specifications
• Keeps work area clean, safe and in an orderly fashion
• Performs Preventative Maintenance per daily schedule
• Performs first piece verification process per part number as required
• Reads blueprints and uses micrometers, calipers, comparators, thread gauges, depth micrometers and dial indicators as needed
• Active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives
• Actively employs set-up reduction techniques to minimize “internal” activities, drive down change-over times and increase productivity
• Maintains a clean and orderly workplace in accordance with 5S standards
• Active involvement in Autonomous Maintenance program & complete PM sheet daily
• Responsible for producing and maintaining high level quality parts
• Perform Lock/Out Tag/Out (LOTO)
• Run production parts according to specifications, work instructions and quality standards
• Follow all EHS Policies and Procedures. Report all incidents immediately.
