Humber River Health is seeking a Clerical Support Associate to join our Mental Health and Addictions team. This position supports both Inpatient and the Transitional Day Program of the Child and Adolescent unit. The successful candidate will provide clerical support, customer service, and program duties such as room bookings and supply ordering.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Completion of a Community College Medical Secretary Diploma an asset
- Completion of a medical terminology course preferred
- Minimum 2 year full time equivalent recent clerical experience required supporting children and youth/families, preferably in a mental health care setting
- Experience in working in an Outpatient setting with children and youth
- Experience booking outpatient appointments and working knowledge of Community Wide Scheduling
- Good keyboarding skills, with minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written
- MEDITECH computer experience an asset
- Good organizational and problem solving skills required, including an ability to prioritize a varied and busy workload
- Demonstrated ability to cope with tight deadlines, frequent interruptions and emergency situations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment
- Knowledge of a second language an asset
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Excellent attendance and discipline free record required
- An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset
