Job Description
IB Abel is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to oversee Payroll and Accounts Payable activities, supervising daily operations, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll items. The ideal candidate has 5 years of relevant accounting experience, progressive leadership experience, and advanced computer skills in MS Office applications and accounting software.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Progressive leadership experience
- Union payroll processing preferred
- Experience filing multi-state payroll taxes
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office applications, accounting software, and databases (Vista Viewpoint desirable)
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
- Ability to direct and supervise
- Local to York, Pennsylvania with occasional travel to other offices or offsite meetings
