Job Description
Senior Mechanical Engineer role at ICEYE, leading technical activities for new satellite platform development, including spacecraft systems lifecycle from design phase to in-orbit validation, with focus on mechanical design, analysis, and optimization, and MGSE development and testing.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge and hands-on skills of mechanical CAD design, analysis and optimization
- Familiarity with material science and engineering, including material selection and analysis for space environment
- Experience in testing, especially TVAC and vibration testing and pre-launch qualification campaigns
- Experience in delivering design through suppliers, and working directly with manufacturers and subcontractors
- Experience with high-precision and accuracy mechanics, thermal and mechanical interface design
- Previous experience in the satellite and/or defense industry
