Job Description
IDEA Austin is seeking a Cooperating Special Education Teacher Applicant Pool. This role focuses on providing in-class support to students with disabilities in an individualized plan approach. Teachers assist students in developing IEPs, assess their needs, and integrate curriculum to meet their academic and emotional goals. The position connects students with families and acts as a bridge between home and school, focused on early intervention for high-need students.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
- Experience in a Special Education classroom setting strongly preferred
- Must be willing and able to obtain all required valid TX certifications of an IDEA Special Education teacher of record within 12 months
- Provide a valid letter of admission from an education prep program
