Job Description
IKS Health is seeking a Profee Cardiology medical coder to provide coding and abstracting services for clients using ICD-10-CM, CPS, and CPT coding systems. The role involves reviewing medical records, abstracting information, and maintaining current knowledge of coding principles and guidelines.
Requirements
- CPC certification
- Epic/3M 360 experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional fee cardiac coding experience
- Ability to code EKGs and other clinic accounts
- Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, surgical technology, pharmacology, and disease processes
- Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding principles and guidelines
- Reimbursement systems, and federal, state, and payer-specific regulations and policies
- Ability to pass a coding proficiency test
