Inpatient Facility Auditor

iMedX is seeking an Inpatient Facility Coding Auditor to review client records, ensuring accurate and complete ICD-10-CM and PCS codes are assigned for appropriate DRG assignment. The position requires proficiency in DRG-based auditing and a minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 3 years of inpatient production coding and 2 years of inpatient auditing. These remote positions are available on a full-time or part-time basis and are paid on an hourly rate.

Requirements

• Credentialed professional in healthcare field (RHIA, RHIT, CCS)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Completion of a formal coding program
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or other AHIMA or AAPC approved coding credential
• Minimum of five (5) years of coding work experience
• Two years of audit and coding review experience and coder education experience encompassing a working knowledge of the ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding systems; medical terminology; anatomy and physiology; and health record content
• Demonstrated fluency coding multiple types of inpatient records: Acute care, Swing Bed, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing Facility, Long-Term Acute Care
• PC proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and database software
• Excellent customer service and professional written and verbal communications skills
• Analytical, judgment, and decision-making skills with an excellent eye for detail
