Job Description
Indiana University Health is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technician to assist with laboratory testing on patient specimens. The labs offer 24/7 service in over 19 million tests annually, providing laboratory services to hospitals and physicians nationwide. The role involves performing tests, maintaining records, assisting with development, and maintaining quality control.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related science (Certification not required)
- Associate degree in an approved Medical Laboratory Technician Program or Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician) certification
- Minimum of 50 weeks duration for CAEP certification (for AMT, ASCP, HEW, CLA).
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures
- Working knowledge of laboratory testing equipment
- Working knowledge of computer systems
- Knowledge of laboratory safety regulations and protocols
- Ability to maintain quality control and record keeping
