IT Systems Engineer

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to help build out, integrate, and secure various IT systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring compliance on systems at multiple locations, and will have the opportunity to create and update existing processes using automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent full-time professional experience
• 3+ years of full-time professional experience in systems administration or system engineering discipline
• Experience working in a VMWare Environment or similar virtualization platform
• Experience Troubleshooting network issues of various degrees of complexity
• Experience with Bash, C, and/or Python scripting
• Understanding of common TCP/IP concepts to include TCP, UDP, VLANs, DHCP, and routing at a minimum
• Experience Provisioning and Installing both Physical devices as well as Virtual Machines
• Security+, CCNA, or equivalent IAT Level II certification
• Experience with hardening devices and updating DISA STIG Checklists
• Experience with patching and remediating vulnerabilities in a closed network
