Job Description
Inova Cares is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist II to support individuals accessing mental health care. This role involves providing therapeutic interventions, behavioral interventions, and case management to improve outcomes across a range of diagnoses, ages, and lived experiences in Fairfax, VA, under a fast-paced, full-time schedule. The position requires a commitment to clinical excellence and cultural humility.
Requirements
- Master's Degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD, or EdD in Mental Health, Social Work, Counseling, Substance Use Disorders, or Behavioral Health-related field.
- Two years of experience in mental health/substance use disorder treatment, psychoeducational programming, and crisis intervention.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association within 3 months of hire.
- Crisis Prevention Institute within 6 months of hire.
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP).
