Property Claims Specialist (Ottawa)

We are looking for a Property Claims Specialist to join our team in Ottawa. As a Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for investigating, quantifying, analyzing, adjusting, and settling complex property claims. You will work with customers, contractors, consultants, and other related parties to determine coverage and settle claims. The ideal candidate will have a university degree and 5-7 years of experience handling personal and commercial property claims, with strong written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for customer service.

Requirements

• University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role
• 5 to 7 years experience handling personal and commercial property claims with at least partly acquired experience directly in the field
• Demonstrates a passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and goal oriented, capable of working in a fast paced and changing environment
• Strong aptitude for technology with excellent computer skills
• Demonstrates strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver's licence with a good driving record
• Can travel on short notice
