Requirements
- Manage financial and statistical data in the general ledger
- Prepare financial statements or other associated work papers
- Direct analytical review of financial performance
- Manage accumulation, preparation, and reporting of financial and statistical data
- Coordinate with vendors, buyers, contract managers and receivers to request and resolve issues
- Provide financial information to management by researching, analyzing & summarizing accounting data & trends
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
- Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions
- Maintain financial security by following internal controls
- Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
- Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation
- Gather and analyze information from the general ledger system and from departments
- Maintain and balance an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data
- Prepare payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts
- Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes
- Assist with budget and audit by preparing spreadsheets, account analyses and other items as directed
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by management staff
