Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Valid NYSDOS photo I.D.
- Valid New York State ID
- Fire Guard (F-01, F-03, F-4) Certification from the New York City Fire Department
- OSHA certification and completion of the 10-hour Occupational Safety and Health Training course in General Industry Safety and Health
- Proficient in typing and possess computer skills
- Two years of prior Military experience on active duty with an honorable discharge (DD214) from any branch of the military or Coast Guard
- Two years’ experience as a member of the National Guard or Military Reserves
- Two years of full-time experience as a NYSDOS registered New York State security guard
- Two years full-time experience as a Police Officer, Probation Officer or Corrections Officer or Two Years of security officer experience
