Associate Director - Research

We are seeking an Associate Director - Research to contribute leadership to a dynamic and research-intensive team of quantitative analysts servicing Rainmaker’s clients and stakeholders in the Australasian wealth management sector. The role requires inputs such as data management and analytics, identifying areas of innovation in our research offerings, report writing, presentations, media engagement, leadership, mentoring junior colleagues, and contributing expertise and knowledge across other Rainmaker business units.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Finance/Mathematics/Statistics and/or Data Analytics
• Postgraduate qualifications
• Deep industry experience, preferably a minimum 15+ years of relevant experience in the Australian Wealth Management industry
• Professional background in Investment Management/Superannuation/Retirement
• Proven team leadership skills and good presentation skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good understanding of the Australian financial regulatory environment, financial services, and financial markets
• Excellent attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and to meet deadlines
• Excellent proficiency with PC applications, and especially data analysis skills beyond Microsoft Excel and Power BI
• Aptitude in programming with Python, R, or equivalent
• Familiarity in using FactSet
