Software Engineering Team Leader

iyzico, now part of PayU, is seeking a Software Engineering Team Leader to lead a team developing and deploying highly available and scalable products. The company simplifies online payments and provides buyer protection, focusing on innovation and accessibility for both consumers and businesses. The ideal candidate will contribute to a positive team culture, mentor team members, and stay up-to-date with new technologies.

Requirements

• BSc degree in Computer Science or related degree
• 7+ years of experience in software development industry, and proven team leadership experience
• Hands-on experience on backend development, using state of the art programming languages especially in JVM languages (Java17, Java21, Groovy, Kotlin, etc.)
• Mastery in architecting, designing, and implementing large scale, high traffic backend services for external customer-facing web applications
• Full knowledge of OOP Principles, RESTful APIs and agile processes (code review, pair programming, CI/CD, TDD, BDD etc.)
• Expertise in software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including agile development, coding standards, code reviews, build processes, testing, and maintenance
• Demonstrated knowledge of all phases of the product lifecycle
• Ability to formulate and communicate ideas clearly in a business environment
• Excellent organizational and communication skills and English knowledge.
