Job Description
JCS Solutions LLC is seeking a Scientific Support Specialist to support our federal client. The role involves providing technical assistance to researchers and staff by maintaining and troubleshooting desktop systems across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience supporting scientific computing environments
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux troubleshooting
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration and scripting (Bash, Python)
- Familiarity with scientific software installation and configuration
- Understanding of NIH security and compliance requirements
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
