We are currently looking for a Backend Engineering Team Manager in Europe to lead and mentor a team of engineers, driving the successful delivery of backend projects while fostering professional growth.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software development, including 2+ years in engineering leadership.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong backend development background (e.g., Ruby, Python) and understanding of databases, caching, and background processing.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices, testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with scalability, reliability, observability, security, and incident response practices.
- Proven ability to guide teams, resolve blockers, and ensure delivery commitments.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Motivated, detail-oriented, and confident in leading high-performing engineering teams.
