Backend Engineering Team Manager - Europe

We are looking for a Backend Engineering Team Manager in Europe to lead and mentor a team of engineers, drive the successful delivery of backend projects, and foster professional growth.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software development, including 2+ years in engineering leadership
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong backend development background (e.g., Ruby, Python) and understanding of databases, caching, and background processing
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with scalability, reliability, observability, security, and incident response practices
• Proven ability to guide teams, resolve blockers, and ensure delivery commitments
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
