Associate Head, Karya Institute

Karya Institute is seeking an Associate Head to lead evidence generation around labour, skilling and markets in the context of digital gig work. The role will involve managing a team of research specialists, overseeing research projects, and collaborating with donors and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree or PhD in Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field, and at least 6+ years of experience in a research-focused role.

• At least 6+ years of experience in a research-focused role
• Proven track record in managing complex research projects
• Experience working with donors, funders, and stakeholders
• Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research methods, data analysis, and research dissemination
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical abilities, project management expertise, and familiarity with the policy landscape in skilling, labor, and markets
