Job Description
KBR is seeking a Mid-level Systems Engineer to support a government customer in Springfield, VA. The Systems Engineer provides expertise to develop, coordinate, and execute a risk-based GEOINT product quality assessment program. Responsibilities include providing functional knowledge of the National System for GEOINT (NSG), system engineering processes, and GEOINT capabilities. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related field and 4-7 years of experience in relevant work areas, including DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process, or system engineering of large complex Systems of Systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related technical or scientific fields
- 4-7 years of experience working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas
- Experience with and strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle
- Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises
- Experience with sensor imaging systems, products, and exploitation processes
- Understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle to include independent testing and data verification, requirements, and development of concept of operations
- Experience working with test plans and procedures and with working on an assessment team on a project
- Experience developing/assessing product quality requirements and specifications
- Experience in image science field working with the fundamentals of image processing, image formation, optics, digital signal processing
