Job Description
Kernal Bio is seeking a Vice President of Chemistry Manufacturing and Controls (VP of CMC) to lead the development of mRNA 2.0 therapeutics. This role focuses on scaling up mRNA LNP manufacturing, optimizing process development, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mRNA manufacturing and lead a team to deliver high-quality products.
Requirements
- PhD/MS/BS in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, or a similar field
- 10 years of industry experience in CMC field
- 5 years of academic or industry experience in nucleic acid and/or lipid nanoparticle manufacturing
- Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and trouble-shoot
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent record keeping and data management skills
- Adaptability, enthusiasm, curiosity, and passion for learning
