Knauf Insulation North America is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety professional to lead our plant's safety initiatives. As the go-to expert for all things health and safety, you'll provide leadership, direction, and expertise to ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations while driving best practices to improve operations.
Requirements
- Plan, develop and coordinate all health and safety training and audits for employees
- Responsible for interpretation of and compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulatory requirements relating to health and safety issues
- Collaborate with Plant HR to manage Workers Compensation cases/issues
- Monitor and ensure accident/incident investigations completed and appropriate follow-up/corrective actions implemented
- Provide health and safety guidance as well as monthly, semi-annual and annual performance statistics/metrics to management
- Responsible for record keeping of training and workers compensation medical, audits and compliance documents
- Responsible for maintaining up-to-date written health and safety programs
- Complete occupational safety and health reporting required by federal and state regulatory requirements
- Assist Knauf Environmental team as needed to ensure environmental compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain Knauf's compliance with Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) records
- Notify state agencies as required of any health and safety events or non-compliances
- Drive the highest level of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organization
