Senior Estimator

The Senior Estimator develops project estimates and schedules for civil construction projects, interpreting contracts and mentoring junior team members. This role involves handling bid documents, quantity takings, defining project scope, subcontractor roles, value engineering, and preparing bid packages. Experience with heavy construction projects is a plus.

Requirements

• Interpret bid documents and construction plans.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs from project plans.
• Define project scope and required disciplines.
• Identify subcontractor roles and DBE participation.
• Identify constructability issues and value engineering opportunities.
• Prepare and review project estimates and schedules ($1M-$40M).
• Mentor junior estimators.
• Create and deliver project bid packages.
• Oversee junior estimators.
