Job Description
The Revenue Cycle Management Specialist - Collections role is responsible for ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances by contacting insurance companies, patients, and responsible parties. This involves investigating and resolving claims, collaborating with internal teams, and reporting trends in claim denials. The role also supports accurate record-keeping and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret medical records for billing purposes.
- Competent in mathematical equations.
- Understanding of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and NDC codes.
- Diligent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance.
- Self-directed, ability to work with little supervision.
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and other office applications.
- Understanding of various insurance plan benefits, payer payment policies, and reimbursement procedures.
- Deep understanding of home infusion process, therapies, and related services.
