Job Description
The Lansing School District is seeking an ASL Interpreter to provide support to Special Education teachers, focusing on students with special needs, including those with intellectual disabilities. The district prioritizes a safe and nurturing learning environment and offers opportunities for professional growth. The position is part-time, with a competitive hourly rate.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree, 60 completed college credits, or ETS Paraprofessional Exam
- Valid Michigan interpreter certification card
- Experience working with students with special education needs, especially HI students
- Experience with CPI, bloodborne diseases, Epi-pens, and Diastat
- Previous training in CPI, bloodborne diseases, Epi-pens, and Diastat
- Experience working with diverse student backgrounds
- Sample job responsibilities: Assist HI designated students with daily tasks, assisting teachers in Gardner with facilitating and maintaining a safe and productive classroom environment.
