Job Description
Lawsons, the UK’s largest independent supplier of fencing, timber, and building materials, is seeking an experienced and motivated Transport Supervisor to join our Colney Heath branch.
Requirements
- Experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management within the builders’ merchant or construction materials sector
- Background in team supervision and route planning
- Good working knowledge of vehicle maintenance, transport legislation, and driver compliance
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Proficient communicator with a positive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Competent IT user, able to work with delivery management or fleet tracking systems
- Full UK driving licence required; HGV licence and/or relevant CPC qualification desirable but not essential
