Electronics Technician I

Lays out, rigs up, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies oilfield production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems, such as computer equipment, data acquisition instrumentation, flow tubes, densitometers, pressure transducers, test equipment, and other various hydraulic fracturing machinery and controls, applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, mathematics, electronic and electrical testing.

Requirements

• Troubleshoots, repairs and calibrates sensors at an entry to intermediate level
• Performs use of Data Van control software
• Assists other electronics personnel on equipment capabilities and usage
• Tracks and accounts for repair parts, ready spares and consumables
• Communicates equipment status details and directions in a clear and coherent manner
• Maintains daily work logs, paperwork requirements, and work orders on a timely and efficient basis
• Coordinates with personnel in regards to completing work requests, troubleshooting and upgrading equipment
• Displays knowledge of circuits, systems and components utilized on the fracturing equipment
• Analyzes and modifies standard circuitry to improve its performance
• Performs maintenance of computer systems including software and hardware updates
• Completes preventive maintenance and visual inspections using authorized procedures
• Reads, comprehends, and interprets blueprints/drawings, schematics, and procedures
