Human Resource Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR department, serving as a trusted resource to employees and supervisors. The HR Generalist provides expertise across multiple HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, leave management, compliance, and performance support, to ensure a positive employee experience and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field required.
• 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in healthcare, behavioral health, or human services.
• Strong knowledge of West Virginia employment laws (wage and hour, leave requirements, discrimination laws, ADA compliance, and relevant federal regulations).
• Experience with HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sensitivity.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
