Dispatcher/ Call Taker

This Dispatch/Call Taker position is responsible for managing crews, scheduling, and ensuring efficient call handling in a busy hospital setting. The role requires maintaining good communication with both external and internal stakeholders. The position focuses on safety, compliance, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Answer telephone calls.
• Schedule calls with the approval of the main Dispatcher.
• Check in trucks to ensure proper order.
• Understand all dispatch software and equipment.
• Prepare/update truck and crew logs.
• Understand and adhere to legal, moral and ethical issues surrounding emergency medical service.
• Know appropriate process
• Carrying, writing, bending, stooping, grasping and use of side vision
