Job Description
The Building Engineer I is responsible for maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting building systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. This role involves performing routine maintenance, responding to tenant requests, ensuring safe operation under company guidance, and providing excellent customer service. The position requires collaboration with senior engineers and exposure to professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Two to three years of job related experience or equivalent certifications/trade experience
- CFC Certification preferred
- Basic working knowledge of laptop applications
- Familiar with fire/life safety equipment/procedures
- Proven track record for excellent customer service
- Knowledge of blueprints and code requirements
- Ability to work after hours, weekends, holidays, and during emergencies
- Competent knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
