Job Description
The Lead Building Engineer leads and oversees the daily operation and maintenance of building systems, ensuring efficient and safe building performance. This role involves supervising engineering staff, collaborating with tenants and property managers, and ensuring compliance with building standards and regulations. The position requires close coordination with vendors to maintain system functionality and address building issues.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Five to seven years of industry-related experience or equivalent certification/trade experience
- At least one year of formal or informal supervisory, training, and/or mentoring experience
- CFC Certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, energy management software, CMMS, and other building operational platforms
- In-depth knowledge of fire/life safety equipment/procedures
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service
- Familiarity with blueprints and code requirements
- Ability to work after hours, weekends, holidays, and emergency situations as necessary
