Job Description
Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) is seeking a Staff Attorney to join their Houston Branch Office and all service areas. This role involves client representation in court, administrative hearings, community education, and coordinating various activities to advance the firm's mission. The ideal candidate will interpret laws, handle case preparation, and work with legal volunteers.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Law School
- Licensed to practice in Texas or qualify for reciprocity
- Strong legal writing and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated client service orientation
- Skilled in interviewing, assessment, problem solving and negotiation
- Strong ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly
- Energetic, motivated and self starter
