Job Description
Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) is seeking a Staff Attorney to join their Houston Branch Office for a Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic. The firm provides legal advocacy and community education to protect low-income Texans and is committed to equal access to justice. The role involves litigation, legal documentation, client communication, and community outreach.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Law School
- Licensed to practice in Texas or qualify for reciprocity
- Strong legal writing and oral communication skills
- Skilled in interviewing, assessing, problem solving and negotiation
- Strong ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly
- Energetic, motivated, and self-starter
