Job Description
The Academic Advisor for the School of Film and Television supports undergraduate students in achieving successful degree completion by providing individualized academic advising and guidance.
Requirements
- Typically a Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum three years of professional work experience in one of the Student Services program areas or a related field
- Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of admissions procedures and graduation requirements
- Experience in planning, coordinating and executing projects, and responding to changing organizational needs
- Create clear and comprehensive reports
- Understand and interpret rules and directions to specific situations
- Maintain confidences and confidential information
- Counsel students relative to their academic programs and in relationship to their career objective
- Ability to work with prospective students in a professional, helpful and effective manner in a high-volume, high-pressure environment
