Job Description
Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Paint Automation Engineer to lead the full lifecycle engineering, optimization, and technical oversight of automotive paint processes. The role involves designing, implementing control strategies for robotic systems, ensuring Class A surface finish standards, environmental compliance, and robust process controls across various paint stages. The engineer will interface with design, production, quality, and maintenance teams to deliver a world-class, efficient, and defect-free painted bodies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Controls Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of automation maintenance experience in an automotive paint shop
- At least 3 years in a supervisory role
- In-depth knowledge of electrical power systems, PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), industrial robotics, and HMI systems./SCADA
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with software (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
