Mission Operations Engineer

Lunar Outpost is a trailblazer in space robotics and planetary mobility, seeking a Mission Operations Engineer to help create the future of lunar surface mobility in a fast-paced startup environment.

Requirements

• Develop and refine mission plans, including science objectives, operational strategies, and contingencies
• Oversee and maintain ground systems supporting spacecraft operations
• Execute spaceflight missions, including monitor spacecraft health, execute commands, and respond to anomalies in real time
• Plan and coordinate spacecraft maintenance, including hardware/software updates
• Manage mission data flow, from collection and processing to archiving and analysis
• Train flight controllers and provide technical support during operations
• Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure mission safety and reliability
• Collaborate with internal and external scientists, engineers, and mission control teams to achieve objectives
