Food Service Attendant - MRHH Food Services (Acute Care)

Mackenzie Health is seeking a Food Service Attendant for their Acute Care Food Services department. The role involves cleaning patient/services dishes, food preparation, and general departmental cleaning, and adheres to safety procedures. A key requirement is the current Food Safety Proton Certificate and ability to lift heavy objects.

Requirements

• Current and valid Food Safety Proton Certificate from Public Health
• Physical ability to push loaded food carts, long standing, walking, lifting heavy boxes.
• Strong command of the English Language.
• Knowledge of WHMIS, HACCP, FIFO procedures, and guidelines.
• Ability to read and follow standardized recipes and production sheets.
• Understanding of therapeutic diets.
• Proven attendance record.
• Understanding and compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates empathy in interactions and adherence to patient and staff safety.
