Job Description
Mainspring Energy is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer focused on mechanical design to drive product improvements across their products and manufacturing systems. This role involves on-site work, root cause analysis of failures, redesigning critical components, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product reliability and manufacturability. The position is ideal for those passionate about design of complex mechanical systems and seeking opportunities to solve real-world engineering challenges.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical field
- BS + 2 years industrial design experience
- Hands-on experience with mechanical design, analysis of bolted joints, stress analysis, and structural integrity
- Proven ability to use data-driven root cause analysis to solve complex design issues
- Experience addressing and resolving field and production issues
- Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and quality system tools
- Deep understanding of tolerance stack-ups and the use of CMMs
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD package
