Welder/Metal Fabricator

Virginia MetalFab is looking for a motivated and energetic individual to fill the role of a Welder/Metal Fabricator. As a Welder/Metal Fabricator, you will be a part of an AWESOME shop team and will be responsible for fabricating, positioning, aligning, and fitting parts of structural metal products.

Requirements

• HS diploma or GED
• Ability to wear various forms of PPE
• Ability to lift/carry up to and including 51-100 lb
• Ability to push/pull up to and including 41-100 lb
• 6 - 12 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Technical Skills - Ability to set up and operate machinery, good math skills, and able to work from blueprints
• Computer Skills - Ability to use MS Suite, basic computer skills
• Certification, Licensure - Forklift operator
• Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word
• Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions
• Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Safety Awareness - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety
