Job Description
The Program Assistant will provide 24-hour awake coverage and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the shelter, providing crisis intervention and daily support to guests, ensuring their welfare, safety, and comfort.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries with program participants
- Sensitivity to the needs and concerns of persons who are materially poor and/or homeless
- Understanding and respect for the confidentiality of clients
