The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, cutting, printing, spooling, and other necessary activities to complete work orders according to customer’s specifications across multiple areas in Conversion.
Requirements
- Sets up and operates machines in Conversion.
- Observes, monitors, and adjusts machine as necessary.
- Positions, adjusts, and feeds material manually to complete orders.
- Reads work orders to determine product specifications or material requirements.
- Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunction and works with maintenance if necessary to identify appropriate repairs.
- Operates and runs heavy wall, thin wall, printing, CPC, auto bagger, and end cap work cells.
- Actively participate and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) - relevant measures (health, safety, and environment) to promote an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workspace.
- Ensure full adherence to the “Leader Standard Work” profile.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- Provide training to new and/or junior employees with a focus on training to the SOP, performing work in a safe & efficient manner, and product quality within control limits and/or specifications as required.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
