As a Senior Hardware Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing digital and analog electronics for control of high power electronics systems, collaborating with mechanical, digital control, thermal design, and manufacturing test engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of demonstrated successful experience in electrical engineering within a product design and manufacturing environment.
- Automotive/Charger design know-how & familiarity with AIS Standards, Functional safety (ISO26262).
- Experience with Altium Designer for Schematic & PCB layout design.
- Experience with high current power semiconductor selection (IGBTs, MOSFET’s, and Diodes), gate drive and protection circuit design.
- Familiar with schematic capture and power converter circuit simulation tools.
- Experience in the selection and use of DSPs, microcontrollers, and programmable logic devices and their peripheral circuitry (signal conditioning, board-level power supplies).
- Experience in supervision of PCB layout for minimal stray inductance and capacitance, placement strategies for better manufacturability, power/signal plane definition, and EMC optimization.
- Knowledge in environmental, reliability, and safety requirements for Automotive, Industrial & Residential applications.
- Collaborate with BMS HW/FW engineering team to successfully to design, validate and deploy testing tools.
- Perform DFMEA, FMEDA, HARA, Worst Case Analysis (WCA), Component Stress Sheets.
- Product level electrical design including component selection, branch circuit design and insulation coordination.
- Experience in designing and supervising circuit design and PCB layout for EMI/EMC compliance independently with little to no supervision.
- Bachelor/Masters in ECE/EEE or relevant field.
