Job Description
The Civil Estimator position at McCarthy involves participating in the bid/estimating process, including quantity take-offs, pricing, and bidding of construction projects.
Requirements
- Performs quantity take-offs
- Assists in the pricing and bidding of construction projects
- Communicates with architects and consultants
- Conducts reviews of milestone documents
- Actively participates in the internal estimate review process
- Assists with final assembly of estimate
- Collects and organizes bid information for future reference
- Aids field operations with change order pricing
- Directs and coordinates with subcontractors
- Prepares contractual exhibits for subcontracts
- Participates in hard bid/estimating and GMP budgeting activities
- Builds relationships with subcontractors and internal clients
- Attends industry events and represents McCarthy
- Keeps current with latest estimating technology and techniques
