Job Description
The Estimating Manager evaluates bid specifications, completes project estimates, and prepares proposals for targeted projects. Key responsibilities include preparing bid documents, quantity take-offs, and subcontractor management. The role also involves cultivating client relationships and working with Business Development to build new opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, or Engineering
- 5-10 years' experience with estimating, design management, and/or field management
- In-depth knowledge of construction principles and practices
- Proven experience estimating self-performed earthwork and/or site utilities
- Experience working with MS Excel, On-Screen Take-Off, HCSS estimating software, and AGTEK Earthwork
- Experience dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors, and/or self-perform work
- Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with varied audiences
