Job Description
The Monitor Technician will support the nursing process by monitoring patients through telemetry, alerting nurses to changes in cardiac rhythm, documenting recordings, and maintaining monitoring equipment. Responsibilities include responding to cardiac emergencies, maintaining a safe environment, and adhering to infection control protocols.
Requirements
- Completion of an EKG course
- High School/GED degree
- Familiarity with Telemetry Unit procedures
- Competency in Telemetry Unit roles and tasks
- Ability to respond to cardiac emergencies
