In-School Suspension Assistant

Memphis-Shelby County Schools is seeking dynamic educational champions to help position their district as a national exemplar of education transformation. The role focuses on providing instructional and behavioral activities for students referred by the school principal, working toward ambitious outcomes for more than 110,000 students and families. The ideal candidate is a courageous, solutions-oriented, and high-performing leader capable of removing barriers for students.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree, or two (2) years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours) from an, or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test.
• Two (2) years of experience working with urban and/or disadvantaged youth.
• Must possess or be able to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Proof of education, training, and/or experience is required.
