Job Description
Mesabi Metallics is seeking an experienced Design Engineer specializing in Process and Piping to lead and manage projects related to iron ore processing, pellet plants, and downstream iron & steel making within a sustainable mining environment. The role involves process optimization, piping design, and construction management, with a focus on collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and adherence to safety standards. The company emphasizes sustainability and employee growth.
Requirements
- 7-15 years of progressive experience in the steel industry.
- Strong expertise in process engineering and piping design.
- Proven experience in project engineering and management.
- Proficient with engineering software such as AutoCAD and CAESAR II.
- Solid understanding of metallurgical processes in iron ore beneficiation.
- Knowledge of US codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
